June 2024 saw 24 solo mums and their 29 children enjoying a wonderful time at the fabulous 5-star Sofitel resort in Nusa Dua, Bali. It was such a magical holiday full of great connections and relaxation, so we are repeating it again in 2025! Will you be joining us....
The Sofitel is a beautiful 5 star luxury resort where you will experience a French-inspired beachfront getaway with lagoon pools, tropical gardens, elegant-modern design, wellness activities, and authentic Balinese charm.

Between now a the holiday there will be lots of ways to keep in touch, ask questions and get to know the other members of the group including Zoom calls, a dedicated private Facebook group and email updates with details for the trip and excursions and tips for when you are in Bali, what to pack, etc.
Once we are in Bali, a WhatsApp group will be created so you can coordinate additional activities and lunch dates or work out what time others will be at the pool bar.
Please reach us at alisha@solomumsociety.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
All children are welcome as long as they have a valid passport. Children under 4 will require a nanny to attend kids club (can be organised through the resort or many private companies). In 2024 we had children from 8 weeks old to 15 years old,.
This was a challenge in 2024 and the hotel are aiming to keep the group as close together as possible, but they cannot gaurantee it as it all depends on the other bookings at the time.
At this stage full payment is not required until 30 days prior to the trip with no deposit, and the ability to cancel the booking with no penatly prior to that date. However, if too many people book the hotel may require a deposit to be paid earlier to gaurantee the rooms in order to release more rooms for the group.
Each room allows 2 adults and a child and you can get a room with a king size bed or two single beds. Additional rooms can be booked directly with the hotel but will not be at the same rate to ensure as many mums as possible can benefit from the bookings.
The hotel cannot guarantee interconnecting rooms, but if you email them as soon as, you make your booking they will do everything they can to make that happen. If you know another mum going it is a great way to be able to have extra support and company on the holiday after the kids go to sleep etc.
The room bookings are for two adults and a child with either a king size bed or two single beds. If you want to share a room. you will just have to email the hotel and pay for the additional child for the room booking.
There will be a few things in place so you can get to know other families before you go and while you are there (none of these are compulsory, but attending some will help you make the most of the group aspect of the holiday):
In the lead-up to the trip, tips, tricks, and recommendations will be shared via email to the group, in the private Facebook group and on the Zoom calls. It's important you complete the booking form when you have booked so we can make sure you are kept up to date with all the important and useful information. The Facebook group will also be an excellent place to ask for other's recommendations on anything you are considering., I am also looking to secure a deal with a baby hire place and co-ordinate for you in advance (TBC).
This is currently a work in progress, but at a minimum will include a casual welcome meet and greet on the Saturday afternoon and then a calendar of optional excursions you can book into during the week so you can experience some of the family fun excursions outside of the resort with other members of the group.
Solo Mum Society is not responsible for the travel arrangements for anyone attending this trip. The attendees are responsible for organising their own travel arrangements and any additional activities directly with the vendors (excluding the preorganised group activities). Solo Mum Society's only responsibility was in negotiating and securing the advertised price for the hotel accommodation for those booking using the booking link while available. Any damage caused to the resort by attendees of the group will be their responsibility to resolve. Availability is limited, and the Sofitel and Solo Mum Society have the right to ask for earlier payment of a deposit for the accommodation to secure bookings in order to release a further allocation of rooms if the original allocation is exhausted.
